Mendocino - Day 2

The town of Mendocino


Heading north, stopped along HWY 1,




Taking a detour to hike out to the Point Cabrillo light station










Then we headed further up 1, to the Jughead State Reserve for another short hike








At the edge of the country, literally




Back north on 1, we stopped off for a short walk on the beach




Then we stopped at the Pacific Star Winery on the coast


Notice the wine barrels along the edge


I made a new friend




And so did Kate




Then we headed back to check out the town of Fort Bragg...


...where apparently you can buy anything at this roadside stand








Then we went back to the Brewery Gulch Inn to relax and have dinner






The next morning we packed up and made our way back to SF - going the long way on HWY 20 - where there were a couple amazing roadside views




It was great trip. We loved every minute of it and can't wait until we can get back up there.
