I was in Dallas last weekend for a tv and photo shoot with the Mavericks at the American Airlines Center, for my client the NBA. Being a Mavs fan, needless to say it was a cool experience. Got to meet Dirk, Josh Howard and Jason Kidd.
And before I left town, I got to see one of my groomsmen Kyle and his fiance Angela. And I had dinner with Jack and Suzanne at their house, where I finally got to meet their twin boys Jacob and Luke.
Would have been the perfect weekend, had the Aggies not gotten robbed in the tournament. Oh well...
Here are some pics of the shoot

Ags upset of UCLA comes up just short, as we don't get the foul call on the last play. Safe to say the refs might have missed this one.
We were in Chicago over St. Patrick's Day weekend for our good friends Keith and Kara's Bachelor/Bachelorette parties. We had a great time and got to see a lot of our good friends. It was good to be back in Chicago, even for just a couple days.
Kate and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary with a trip down to the central coast. We took HWY 1 all they way down, through Santa Cruz and Monterey, and we stayed in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Carmel by-the-sea. It was a great trip. We visited some wineries, had a great dinner in Carmel, took the 17-Mile Drive through Pebble Beach and went out to Big Sur .
Here are some pictures from the trip, and a video I made...
One of my best friends, Jared, and a long lost college friend, Ben, recently came to San Francisco for a few days. Ben is a dentist in the Air Force and is living South Korea, so we don't get a chance to see him very often. But when he came back to the States for a family wedding in Phoenix, he stopped off in SF for a few days and Jared flew out from Dallas to meet him.
I had the good fortune of going to New Orleans last weekend for NBA All-Star weekend, because of the advertising work we've done for our clients at the NBA.
It was an amazing weekend all the way around. We got to do, see and and eat a lot, and we had the chance to do some work in the New Orleans community with Habitat for Humanity and NBA Cares.
Here are a just a few of the pictures from the weekend. And there's a video at the end that some of my co-workers edited together that sums up how unique a trip it was. (Sorry for the language on the soundtrack...)
Entrance to the French Quarter during an NBA private event.
We put insulation in a house in the lower 9th ward. You can see by the other house next door that there remains plenty of work to be done.
View from my hotel room on Canal St.
Private entrance to the New Orleans Arena.
Dirk in the 3-Point Shootout and Dwight Howard as he's about to do the Superman dunk.
We had all-access passes, so we went down on the court. And I'm pretty sure I could have grabbed the Slam Dunk trophy...
Our campaign ran all throughout the arena, all weekend.
We went to the ESPN private party, where Stuart Scott made an appearance, introducing Common who played an hour-long show.
By far the coolest thing we got to do was attend the team photoshoot an hour before the All-Star game. There's video of all of it below. But the surreal thing about it was that while I stood there in the background taking it all in, Bill Russell sat 3 feet away doing the exact same thing.
